The service of Cerakoting falls under the Gunsmith and Factory Repair exception. This exception means, as the owner of the firearm, you can directly ship your firearm to us and we will ship it directly back to you after the service has been complete.
You do not have to ship through an FFL dealer to send us your firearm.
We do have some recommended tips to ensure safe arrival of your firearm.
Handguns must be shipped by next day air either UPS or Fedex.
You cannot ship handguns by USPS. Shotguns & Rifles may be shipped via ground service, check with your carrier for additional details.
Make sure your firearm is unloaded. Do not include ammunition with shipment!
All firearms and parts will need to be completely disassembled prior to Cerakoting. This includes removal of all pins, screws, springs, internals and sights. If you are sending the firearm assembled, labor fees for disassembly/reassembly will occur. To avoid the gunsmithing fee, please send only the parts you want coated and include an inventory list of all items/parts you are sending. Partially disassembled items will be charged a disassembly fee and returned disassembled.
Ship in an appropriate box with proper packing material. We are not responsible for damage due to improper packing or items lost in transit.
We suggest purchasing insurance for the full replacement value of your items. Insurance isn't expensive, but firearms are. Please let us know if you would like insurance applied on the return shipment. We will not insure items sent for return, unless notified otherwise.
The outside of the package must not be marked, labeled, or otherwise identify that the package contains a firearm.
Include a copy of the signed work order we email you, in the packaging box. We need this to identify who the package belongs to and the work being done on the project.

Once shipped, please e-mail us the tracking number so we know when to expect your item.
Your item will be sent back to the same address it was sent from, the only exception is if your item is not a firearm. An Adult Signature will be required upon delivery of your item.
